Hi I am 48 years old and live in North Queensland Australia,

It is so good to find somebody who knows about all this. I was suffering from symptoms of cushings for around 10 years before somebody found an answer for me.
And of corse that person was not evan a doctor. I had been to about 7 doctors over that time and most told me to go home take a walk and stop worrying about things. I had put on about 20 kilos had the moon face the excess hair on my face and thighs constant bruising for no reason the skin on my hands would simply peel off at the slightest touch i had a couple of small bones in my feet break had a slight fall which resulted in a cracked pelvis pcos was diagnoised alone with diabeties towards the end of that time i was become quite fateiged  and my muscles were becoming weaker lots of lower back pain also the buffaloe hump was there. I think thats about it.

A lady who was a nurse about 40 years ago heard me talking to my mum one day went home got on the internet and bought me back a piece of paper. I believe that piece of paper saved my life. I got on to an Endo and spent a week in hospital having tests these of corse resulted in the answer of Cushings. I had a tumour on my pitutary gland which was removed. 7 days after the operation I ended up back in hospital with severe salt deficiency once that was under control things were good for a few months and them my thyroid started playing up. I had a tumour on that as well.

6 months after the op I had nuclear treatment for my thyroid. That seems to be under control now but unfortunately they have damaged my pituatry gland and I am now not telling the adrenal gland to produce the cortisol. So I am now cortisol replacement which is 100% better than cushings. Would love to hear from people on cortisol replace ment and howl they manage it .
