Cushing's Info

My name is Korey and I was diagnosed with Cushing's Syndrome in my right adrenal gland and it was removed May of 2007.

I was very fortunate to have a great doctor who didn't give up on me when I knew I wasn't okay. My husband is in the Airforce and it is very hard to find a doctor who will actually listen to you and help you but thank God I did.

I still have to loose 30lbs and it is very hard for me after Cushing's to loose weight, I hate that my body is not the same and what it did to me, but I know I should be very thankful to be here and not how I was three years ago.

It's not easy to like yourself after this and it's very hard when you have people around you who don't understand what you went through and that you battle with it for years after the fact. I just hope someday I will get my body back from this and be able to move on.
