As of the time of this writing, I am 25 years old. On July 3rd, 2009 I was admited to Lewisville Medical Center with chest pains. 13 hrs of staying awake in the ER all night and not finding anything, they admited me to the hospital for testing. I was only there for a few hours longer, but my attending doctor sugested that I had Cushing's. He pointed out my high blood sugar, purple stretch marks, large middle with smaller legs and arms, round face, high triglycerides, and easly brusied skin. They did a CT scan, but the doc said they usually can find anything with a CT but they did anyway. I was told that the results would be sent to my doctor.
I went to my doc a few days later and he said he didn't recive anything, and would ask for them. I dont think he ever did. I bring it up constantly, but refuses to even consider sending me to an endocronologist. And we really cant afford one, not having insurance and all.
Since I began my research, I have come to realise that I started showing signs of Cushing's somwhere between age 9 and 11. To look at pictures of me in 2nd grade and 4th grade you would think they were two different kids. I started gaining weight like crazy, and no matter how much I dieted and exerciesed I couldnt loose it. I even tried a years worth of actual Navy entrance training and Atkins, and nearly ended up in the hospital from not eating carbs! I have always had mood swings and depression, at least for as long as I can remember, and always tired. Now I have back problems and leg cramps that keep me up at night, even when I take sleep aids. WHen I dont, I have such a hard time sleeping.
Aside from that, I am a film and video graduate from North Lake College, and want to go back and get my BS. I work for a video production company in Dallas, TX that creates videos for the apartment industry making 90 comunity videos. I am the organizer of the DFW smart Car Club, and have a lovely wife of 5 years. Ironicly, we both enjoy being large but want to be large and healthy too! One day I want to be a great film director, and am even thinking of doing a documentry about Cushing's.
Anyway, thats about it in a nutshell. If I have any more, Ill come back and add more. Feel free to email me!

Listen to Brandon's live interview January 21, 2010
Brandon added these videos:
- Variations of Cortisol
First video in VLog, but this is one example of what can happen with cortisol. In this video, which is the first we did with our Flip, I am high for some reason while my wife is very low. We both suspect we have Cushing's. More to come!
- Cortisol High WOOOO!
I dont know if you can tell but it is LATE! and I am HIGH on Cortisol! Kaylie is low again, but The Zebra is not! Yet another compairson. Another night, I will do a montage of what it is like. I shot this about 11:30pm cst, and it is now almost 2am. Oh well. Check out my blog at http://wearyzebra.blogspot.com/
- Really Low and High
Well, the roles reversed from last time. I hope this gives some insight as to what a low might be like. I have come to the conclusion that I cycle, and nearly every day. Some days I am constant, others I am high for days or low for days. This was two nights ago from the date I posted this.
