Sandra, pituitary bio
smaller text tool iconmedium text tool iconlarger text tool icon

I finally got diagnosed with pituitary Cushing's Disease after 9+ years of torture!

I am the typical textbook case, so no need in listing my symptoms, although it is scary about how it progressed slowly for 9 years and has spiralled out of control in the past 2 1/2 months and I have almost died a few times from complications.

I am now awaiting surgery at UVA and I am anxious about the recovery process (how long, etc.). However, I am excited to get off of all of the meds eventually and have my life back!

I have had it since I was a teenager so I do not know what my "real" woman's body looks like! How exciting! :o)
